Melbourne-based consulting firm GNC Group this month formally launched new premises in Sydney. Speaking after holding the firm’s first Sydney-based team meeting this week, GNC Group partner Jamie Downs said:
We are thrilled to finally have our own space here in Sydney. Whilst we have successfully completed many Sydney-based assignments over the last few years, we have relied on Melbourne personnel to complete our Sydney work. Now that we have Sydney-based team members working in consulting teams across multiple Sydney-based clients, the time was right to secure our own office.
GNC Group has also recently upgraded its website – www.gncgroupconsulting.com – to reflect its expansion this year, both functionally and geographically, with new offices in both Sydney and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Jamie spoke of how the business projects itself through the website:
We wanted to more explicitly call out exactly what we do and how we operate, principally so that prospective employees can get a real sense of what to expect when working for GNC Group. We have included anecdotes from quite a few of our growing team of consultants on the site, and also call out our values which underpin everything that we do.
GNC Group is a management consulting firm which has its origins in retail, with each of the three partners having spent 20+ years in senior roles across the retail and commercial landscape. The firm’s engagements extend up and down the retail value chain, with a particular focus on integrated project planning and delivery. GNC Group employs more than fifty consultants with clients across Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom.
Unlike traditional advisory consulting organisations which provide advice and then leave, GNC Group services extend to the development and execution of strategic initiatives. Current GNC Group clients include Coles, Target, Myer, Petbarn, Country Road, Ingham, Toyota, The Reject Shop, Uniting Church of Australia, CoINVEST and Tasman Meats.
